If you look at the early films, the silents, early talkies, even into the 40s and early 50s, many of the actors were acting in front of painted backdrops and/or simple facades. Just like in theater. I have been thinking of that and decided to do a series of real photos with lighting, posing and props like classic portraits and adding an "added" background which I've created using several computer programs. Since movies can be about anything, so can the photos! :)
